NATO is pushing its members to overcome protectionist tendencies and agree on a single custom for artillery ammunition to boost manufacturing of urgently wanted 155mm shells while driving down costs which have soared since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Admiral Rob Bauer, Head of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation’s navy committee, said, the worth of one artillery shell has gone up to 8,000 euros from 2,000 euros earlier than Russia’s assault on Ukraine.
