Navy Chief talks about Indian Army presence in Maldives

Tension between India and Maldives continues to rise. In a show of loyalty to China, the new government’s President Mohammad Muizhu ordered the Indian army stationed in the Maldives to leave the country. More than two weeks have passed since the incident but Indian Army is still deployed in Maldives. Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said that the Indian government has not asked its defence personnel to withdraw from Maldives after ML’s request.
