New AI detects breast cancer from ultrasounds

A recent NYU Langone Health study published in Nature Communications shows how AI applied to ultrasound images can identify breast cancer with radiologist-level accuracy.

“In this work, we present an AI system that achieves radiologist-level accuracy in identifying breast cancer in ultrasound images,” wrote Krzysztof Geras, PhD., the study senior investigator.
