In the two-day special Maharashtra legislative assembly session, a prominent development that occurred was the new state government’s declaration that it would soon take a decision to reduce VAT on diesel and petrol.
Apart from the fact that the Eknath Shinde government was able to prove its majority, former Deputy Chief Minister, NCP ‘s Ajit Pawar was made the Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly.
