NRAI appoints Joydeep Karmakar as chief national rifle coach

London 2012 Olympian Joydeep Karmakar was named the chief national rifle coach by the National Rifle Association of India on Sunday. The 42-year-old’s tenure will run till June 2025 and his big target will of course be the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Karmakar had represented India at the London Olympics in 2012 in the men’s 50m rifle prone event and came close to winning a bronze medal, eventually finishing fourth.
