On World Youth Skills Day, PM Modi’s mantra is skill, re-skill and up-skill

People get confused between knowledge and skill. You may read books and watch videos on how to ride a cycle. This is knowledge, but when you have to actually ride a cycle, you need skill.

Skill India is an initiative of the central government which was launched to empower the youth with skill sets which make them more employable and productive.  It offers courses across several sectors which are aligned to the standards recognised by both the industry and the government.
