Online harassment of women journalists is a ‘travesty of democratic norms’, says Editors Guild

The Editors Guild of India on Tuesday condemned the “continuing online harassment of women journalists”, particularly those who have openly criticized the government and the ruling BJP.
“This is a travesty of all democratic norms, and in violation of law,” said Editors Guild. It asked the central government to take urgent steps “to break and dismantle this misogynistic and abusive digital eco-system”.
