Pakistan has strongly condemned the burning of the Quran texts in Sweden and stressed that the move hurt the sentiments of the 1.5 billion Muslim community across the world. Condemnation is pouring in after Rasmus Paludan, leader of Denmark’s far-right party Stram Kurs, burned a Quran outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm. Turkey and several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Kuwait, have condemned the burning of the Quran.
