Part of nose pin lodged in woman’s lung retrieved at Kochi hospital

The patient misplaced a portion of her nose pin 12 years ago. A few weeks ago, she sought medical attention at a private hospital for a surgical procedure, which revealed an anomaly in her lungs during a scan. Subsequently, on examination, Kochi Amrita Hospital discovered it was a part of the nose pin. The non-surgical procedure was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Tinku Joseph, Head of the Interventional Pulmonology department.
