Pathirana to miss clash against Mumbai Indians but nearing match fitness

Chennai Super Kings could be suffering a major blow for their all-important IPL 2024 match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium today. Head coach Stephen Fleming said, "It (Matheesha Pathirana's niggle) was not as bad as what we had thought, so we are very hopeful that if not tomorrow, then very close. We know the importance of him in games like this but will make sure he is 100 per cent in this form."
