The Phase 2 makeshift Covid hospital at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area of Mumbai built by MMRDA is now ready for operations. On Wednesday the facility was handed over to the BMC by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
The 1,000-bed capacity phase 2 hospital is a significant development as it will accommodate critical Covid-19 patients as well. Together with Phase 1, the two facilities will have bed capacity for over 2,000 patients.
