Potential Aqua Farms Should Be Ecologically Assessed: Experts

With the Centre and state government promoting aquaculture in a big way for boosting commercialization in the Indian seafood sector, experts have suggested that ecological assessment regulations should be brought in to protect freshwater farms from becoming brackish or groundwater getting polluted.
The glaring examples are the state of Vannamei farmlands which have lost their natural status and are facing huge issues.
