Puducherry reports 2,783 Covid cases, highest so far

Puducherry reported the highest number of fresh Covid-19 cases on Thursday since the outbreak of the infection in March 2020. The territory reported 2,783 fresh cases even as 1,073 patients recovered in the last 24 hours ending at 10am on Thursday taking the active cases to 13,053.
Earlier the territory reported the maximum number of daily fresh Covid-19 cases (2,093) on Tuesday.
