Punjab: 57.9kg heroin seized, BSF man hurt in shootout with smugglers

A BSF trooper was injured in exchange of fire with cross-border Pakistani smugglers on Friday, leading to recovery of 57.9 kg heroin along with arms and ammunition.
BSF DIG, Gurdaspur sector, Prabhakar Joshi said that after a BSF patrol spotted some suspicious movement at the India-Pakistan international border in the Chandu Wadala Border outpost area at around 5.10 am which soon lead to firing.
