Harry Redknapp thought he had a chance of sneaking in the £1million Aintree feature with his Cheltenham Festival superstar Shakem Up'Arry. But it looks like his dream of winning the race is ruined. To make the world's most famous race safer, the number of runners has been slashed from 40 to 34. Trainer Ben Pauling said had the old 40-runner rule been in place then Shakem Up'Arry, 44th on the list of runners, would probably have got in.
