SC lottery player hopes to start a business after big win

A South Carolina man hit the jackpot — and “couldn’t wait to tell” his mom and dad, officials said. The winner picked up the phone after he found out he won a $2 million prize, according to the S.C. Education Lottery.
“I called my parents,” the man, who wasn’t publicly identified, said in an April 27 news release. The winner scored the windfall after a trip to a store on Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston.
