The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has ordered GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Asia, to discontinue advertisements of its toothpaste brand Sensodyne, which feature dentists practising in international markets endorsing the product within seven days.
The CCPA in a statement on Wednesday said that “by showing dentists practising outside India for endorsement of its product in the advertisements broadcasted in India, ‘Sensodyne’ is attempting to circumvent the law”.
