Sikkim: Over 50 monks in Gonjang Monastery test COVID-19 positive

As many as 59 monks at Gonjang Monastery have tested positive for COVID-19. Following the detection of the COVID-19 cases in the Gonjang Monastery, it has been turned into a containment zone. Gongjang Monastery is located just 8 kilometres from Sikkim Capital – Gangtok.
The monks who tested COVID-19 positive have been reportedly shifted to an isolation centre.
