Super Anaconda: Railways joins 3 goods trains to run 2 km long behemoth

The South East Central Railway in Odisha on Wednesday ran a 2-km long goods train -- Super Anaconda -- by clubbing three freight trains as one unit that successfully ran between Brajrajnagar to Rourkela railway stations.

This is the first time Railways has amalgamated three freight trains as one unit. The initiative was made to reduce manpower, save time, ease congestion on tracks, make transportation of goods reasonable, fast delivery of goods and an overall saving of revenue.
