Suriya's 44th film with Karthik Subbaraj titled Retro

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the gangster drama also stars Pooja Hegde. It will hit the theatres in the summer of 2025. The two-minute, 16-second teaser opens with a scene where Suriya and Pooja's characters are seen sitting on the bank of a Varanasi ghat and the aarti playing in the background. Retro also stars Jayaram, Joju George, Prakash Raj, and Nasser in significant roles. Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment has backed the film.
