Telugus turn Dhanush’s flop into a surprise hit

Dhanush’s 2012 film 3 (Moonu), which initially flopped, was re-released in Telugu for the third time. Featuring Shruti Haasan, the film is Aishwarya Rajinikanth's directorial debut. The film’s re-release grossed Rs. 1.5 crore. Past experiences, such as the success of Surya S/o Krishnan upon its re-release, suggest that Tamil films can achieve great success when re-released in Telugu states.
