The government of Haryana has ordered cinemas and multiplexes not to charge VAT from customers on the screening of the Hindi film “The Kashmir Files”, which is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley.
Under an order from the Excise and Tax Department, the government of Haryana has allowed the refund of state GST upon admission to the film screening in the state’s cinemas from March 11, subject to certain conditions.
