Thieves return director Manikandan's National Award medal

Last Thursday, 'Kaaka Muttai' director Manikandan's house in Usilampatti in the Madurai district, was robbed. The director had been living in Chennai with his family at that time due to his film commitments. Along with ₹1 lakh cash and five pounds of gold jewellery, the thieves had also stolen the National Award medal that Manikandan had won for his 2021 film 'Kadaisi Vivasayi'. The thieves returned his medal and left an apology note.
