Time to open economy, but with caution: Center tells states, UTs

In view of a decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, the Center on Wednesday asked states to take a risk-based approach in opening economic and social activities.

However, the Union Department of Health suggested necessary curbs in areas with a positivity rate greater than 10 percent or a 40 percent occupancy rate in oxygen-assisted or ICU beds.
