Twitter introduces new editing feature to track tweet history

There were concerns about the nature of the ‘Edit Tweet’ button, it appears that the new feature may leave a digital trail of your tweet history.

It appears that Twitter’s approach to editing tweets is irreversible because instead of replacing the tweet text within the same tweet, it re-creates a new tweet with a list of the old with the modified content.
