Two More Indian Beaches Awarded ‘Blue Flag’ Certification

Kovalam beach in Tamil Nadu and Eden beach in Puducherry have been received "Blue Flag" certification, an international eco-level tag, bringing the total number of such beaches in India to 10, the Environment Ministry announced on Tuesday.
Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav expressed happiness over the development and said it is another milestone in India’s journey towards a clean and green India led by PM Narendra Modi.
