The Uttar Pradesh government has set the ball rolling for construction of Agra Metro rail project by sanctioning the first tranche of Rs 75 crore to kick-start the ambitious project which was flagged off by prime minister Narendra Modi earlier this month.
The first corridor of the Agra Metro is 14 km long and it will cover the stretch from ‘Taj East Gate to Sikandara’. It connects major tourist attractions like Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Sikandra with railway stations and bus stands.
