Uttarakhand Governor sent UCC Bill to President Murmu for final approval

The Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Bill (UCC) moved one step closer to becoming law as the bill. The government has sent the UCC bill to the Uttarakhand Governor, Gurmit Singh, who in turn referred the same to President Droupadi Murmu. After the President's approval, the way will be cleared for the implementation of UCC law in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's government introduced the UCC Bill on February 6.
