Drive from Delhi to Kolkata could take as little as 17 hours! Varanasi-Kolkata Greenfield expressway will shorten the distance from 690 km to 610 km and reduce travel time to just 6-7 hours, cutting the current travel time in half. The project is expected to be completed by 2026. The route will pass through several cities, including Mohania, Rohtas, Sasaram, Aurangabad, Gaya, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ramgarh, Purulia, Bankura, Paschim Medinipur, Hooghly, and Howrah.
