Vehicle population up 6% to 4 crore; more accidents in 2021

Total vehicles on roads across Maharashtra have finally breached the 4-crore mark, the state economic survey revealed. This is an increase of around 6% over the previous financial year.
Moreover, road fatalities rose in 2021 compared to the past two years, and there were more deaths than in the pre-Covid 2019, the economic survey stated.
