Though the Union government has announced the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission to provide tap water to every household by 2024, many villages are yet to get the benefits of the scheme.
A few months ago, Abhayapuri North MLA Abdul Batin Khandakar inaugurated a project under the JJM at Pakhiriguri. But the villagers have not got a single drop of water till now.
