Vistara makes emergency landing at Bhubaneswar airport, passengers safe

Vistara flight UK788 to New Delhi returned to Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) barely 10 minutes after taking off and made an emergency landing. The hailstorm that hit various regions of Odisha this afternoon caused a crack in the aircraft's windscreen, causing minor damage to the radome. All 169 passengers and personnel on board are safe. Radome is the 'nose' of an aircraft where the airborne weather radar is hidden.
