Washing machines found loaded with Rs 1.5 crore currency bundles

Visakhapatnam police got an alert that an electronic shopping mall in the city is transporting cash from Vizag to Vijayawada. Following this, police intensified vigil and seized currency notes totalling to Rs 1.5 crore hidden in eight washing machines, apart from 30 cell phones. According to information, a patrol team of airport crime police stopped a van at the NAD intersection on Tuesday night. The van was transporting eight washing machines.
