Wednesday's stampede during TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu 's roadshow in Nellore, which claimed eight lives, was the second such incident in the state in the last several years. On July 14, 2015, at least 29 persons died and over 60 were injured in a stampede during the Maha Godavari Pushkaram in Rajahmundry, which occurs once every 144 years.
