West Bengal: New guidelines on marriages, fairs; curbs extended till Jan 31

As coronavirus cases top over 2.6 lakh in India today, the state of West Bengal has extended Covid-19 restrictions till January 31, 2022, but has allowed fairs to be organized on open grounds in a “very restricted manner".
"Restrictions and relaxation measures and advisory as already stand extended up to 31/01/2022. Marriage-related functions with a maximum of 200 people at a time or 50 percent seating capacity of the hall/venue whichever is lower," the order issued by Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi said today.
