WhatsApp to exit from India? Here are 5 key points you should know

WhatsApp told the Delhi High Court that it would cease operations in India if it were asked to compromise its message encryption. WhatsApp highlighted that users trust the platform due to its end-to-end encryption, emphasising that compromising it would hamper the trust. The court is currently reviewing petitions from WhatsApp and its parent company Meta against Rule 4(2) of the Information Technology Rules, 2021.
