Law student David MacMillan and his friend were at a Giant Food supermarket in Washington DC to pick up some groceries when a pharmacist approached them to ask if they were interested in getting the shots.
As the vaccine couldn’t be kept at room temperature beyond a few hours, they would have to be discarded, which is why the staff offered it to them.
