Gadgets can be addictive as they trigger dopamine release. Social media and gadgets often disrupt our diet, exercise, and sleep routines as we worry about missing out and become glued to our phones. Social media often sets unrealistic body standards and career ideals, negatively impacting self-image. A detox prevents falling into an addictive cycle and allows us to restore self-perception, embrace authenticity and restore healthy habits.
