Will Ather stay independent post-HeroMoto’s newest investment of Rs 420 crore?

The world’s largest two-wheeler company HeroMoto has announced it will be investing another Rs 420 Cr in Ather Energy, an 8-year old startup manufacturing EV bikes in India. HeroMoto had said it would leave it to Ather to announce what will happen to its existing 35% stake once the fundraise by the latter is completed.
This had led to a lot of speculation about Hero making Ather its subsidiary. That is not happening, at least for now.
