There is a competition to make a soft landing on the south pole of the moon. No country has been able to succeed in this so far. India launched Chandrayaan-3 on July 14. According to ISRO's plan, Chandrayaan-3 will attempt a soft landing on the South Pole of the Moon on August 23. LUNA-25, Russia's only spacecraft, will reach the Moon's orbit within 4 to 5 days. Here it will orbit the moon for a few days, then on August 21, it will attempt a soft landing on the moon.
