World's most affordable COVID-19 testing kit launched by IIT Delhi

IIT Delhi has launched a diagnostic kit for COVID-19, claiming it to be the World's most affordable kit. According to the officials, the base price for the RT-PCR test kit is Rs. 300.
Even after adding the RNA isolation and laboratory charges, the cost of the kit is likely to go up to Rs. 650, which is still cheaper compared to the currently available kits in the market. The test kit is also quick and can produce results within 3 hours.
