WRD to take up emergency flood mitigation projects in city’s south

WRD will take up projects worth ₹184.22 crores in southern parts of the city around Pallikaranai marshland to construct new channels and bridge gaps between water bodies and the marshland.
These projects would be implemented as emergency works to provide the much-needed respite to areas that face the threat of flooding every monsoon.
